Considered the gold standard in laser resurfacing with a history preceding other laser devices, CO2 laser is an excellent choice for skin resurfacing. The depth of treatment can be controlled allowing for light damage repair through to aggressive facial rejuvenation and scar remodelling. eC02 laser resurfacing is ablative and fractionated, meaning it delivers a controlled and precise burn from the surface down in a controlled fashion. The brilliance of this treatment is the wide range of indications for use including wrinkles, fine lines, skin resurfacing, scarring (acne, burn and surgical), textural irregularities, pigmentation and lentigines and small lesions and skin irregularities. A clever multitasker!
Topical anaesthestic is required for this treatment, at times an anaesthetic facial block is required for deeper treatments.

Downtime: Varies depending on depth of treatment, ranging from 5-14 days for initial healing phase.
Recommended Course: Dependent on intensity of treatment and indication. The gentler the treatment, the more treatments are required. Can range from one treatment every 3 years to four treatments every 6-8 weeks in one course.
